Terms

Parties:

    • This is an agreement between the individual providing a musical service, which is me, referred to as the “Musician” and the individual receiving the service rendered, which is you, referred to as the “Client

Services:

    • The Musician will provide a musical performance in the Greater Montreal Area. The performance will be for one of the following instruments:
      • Piano (Acoustic/ Synthesizer)
      • Guitar (Electric/Acoustic)
      • Bass guitar (Electric/Acoustic)
      • Drum set (Cajon)

Scope of work:

    • The Musician is Responsible for:
      • The duration of the  musical performance will be between 0 to 3 hours worth of service
      • The musical performance can consists of 1 to 10 songs
      • The musical performance may consist of 0 to 3 rehearsals of 2 hours
      • Showing up on time to all rehearsals, soundcheck, and performance based on an agreed upon time between both the Musician and Client
      • If this is for a recorded track musician will record and send out stems to the client on an agreed upon date
    • The Musician requires from the Client:
      • The address of the rehearsal location and venue location.
      • The Set list or repertoire at least 1 week before the date of the 1st rehearsal in order to ensure a performance of quality.
      • A properly functioning sound system.
      • If this is for an overdub or track recording all necessary .mp3, .wav, or DAW session files should be sent to the Musician.

Equipment and Technical Requirements:

    • The Musician is responsible for:
      • Bringing their own instrument unless the Client indicates one will be provided for the Musician.
      • Bringing appropriate instrument and power cables
    • The Musician requires from the Client:
      • A properly functioning sound system (including proper monitoring)

Compensation:

    • The pricing is flat rate which only changes depending on the instrument selected.
      • Piano (Acoustic/ Synthesizer): $350 for live performance $250 per overdub or track recording.
      • Guitar (Electric/Acoustic): $350 for live performance $250 per recorded track overdub or track recording.
      • Bass guitar (Electric/Acoustic): $350 for live performance $250 per recorded track overdub or track recording.
      • Drum set (Full kit/Cajon): $150 for live performance.
    • In order to  book the Musician for a performance date or overdub/track recording, a non-refundable deposit of $25 is mandatory.
    • For all live performances:
      • 50% of the remaining balance must be before the 1st rehearsal.
        • If there is no rehearsal then this 50% must be paid 24 hours before arriving to the soundcheck or performance.
      • The remaining balance must be paid in FULL no later than 1 week after performance date.
    • For overdubbing or track recording:
      • 50% of the remaining balance must be paid before any work is starts.
      • The remainder must be paid in FULL in order for all stems to submitted to Client.

Cancellation:

    • The Client is allowed to cancel a performance 2 hours before soundcheck on the performance date. There will be a refund issued to the Client excluding the non-refundable 20$ and the 1st payment 50% that was issued 24 hours before the soundcheck or performance date.
    • The Client is allowed to cancel recording work at any moment after the Audio files have ben sent to the Musician  and recording has started. There will be a refund issued to the Client excluding the non-refundable 25$ and the 1st payment 50% that was issued at the start of the project.
    • If the Musician cancels for any reason the Client will get a FULL refund including the $20 deposit to book a date.

Rehearsal and Soundcheck:

    • The Musician is responsible for showing up on time to any rehearsal and sound check in accordance to the agreed upon time between the Musician and the Client.
